Responsibilities

Job Summary : Supports the development and execution of IT strategy; assisting with analysis, and coordination of strategic IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Participate in IT strategy planning and execution, including the preparation of the IT roadmap.
  • Collaboration & Data Collection: Work with various Business Units (BUs) and IT teams to gather and analyze data to support strategic recommendations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Help develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports/dashboards to communicate IT performance to senior leadership.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay informed about emerging IT trends and best practices to integrate these insights into the bank’s strategy for a competitive edge.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all IT strategic initiatives adhere to financial services industry regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Focuses on Strategy and Market Expansion.

Qualifications

The candidate is expected to meet specific proficiency levels across technical, individual, and leadership categories.

1. Technical / Functional Expertise

  • Data Gathering and Reporting (Extensive Experience): Must be able to oversee multiple data initiatives, analyze complex reports, and develop criteria for selecting reporting tools .
  • IT Industry Trends & Directions (Extensive Experience): Ability to compare the bank’s technology practices against competitors, establish benchmarks, and conceptualize products leveraging emerging tech .
  • Data Analysis & Visualization (Working Knowledge): Proficient in deriving actionable insights from data and using tools like Tableau or Datawrapper to tell compelling stories .
  • Business Growth Strategies (Working Knowledge): Capable of tracking project success under approved strategies and documenting SWOT analyses for strategic planning .

2. Business & Framework Knowledge

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe): Requires Working Knowledge to follow SAFe principles, ensure technical requirements align with business objectives, and guide projects using lean-agile practices .
  • Design Thinking: Requires Working Knowledge to perform design tasks, document personas, and present prototypes to stakeholders based on feedback .
